Prerequisites

To pull data from Drivetrain to your BigQuery, you need:

  • An active BigQuery account with administrative privileges

  • Principal email you use in your BigQuery account

BigQuery setup

Share the BigQuery Principal email with your Drivetrain Customer Success Manager (CSM)

Once the CSM confirms that the Principal email has been added to our Drivetrain warehouse, continue with the steps below

On the BigQuery console, select Data transfers from left navigation pane

Click on CREATE TRANSFER button

Configure options as follows

  • Choose the Source as Dataset Copy

  • Give a Display name

  • Set the Repeat frequency

Scroll down to Destination settings section and configure the following

  • Enter the project Data set name where the tables will be copied

  • Get the Source dataset name and Source project name from your Drivetrain Customer Success Manager

  • Check the Overwrite Destination Table option to replace existing data with each export

  • Click Save to apply the settings

That's it! The Drivetrain datasets will start getting copied. The time required depends on the number and size of the tables being copied.
