Roles play a crucial part in managing user access and permissions.
We will cover how to create and manage roles effectively in this section.
Admin: This role has access to all parts of Drivetrain except for reports. Admins can grant themselves access to any report as needed.
All Users: This role is created without any permissions, ensuring no default access. Permissions can be modified as required. Please note that any permission modification will apply to all users. For example, if you make specify a full access permission for this role for a report, it shall be visible to all.
Note: All new users are automatically added to this role.
To create a custom role:
Navigate to the Roles section (Settings > Roles)
Click New Role
Give the role a descriptive name
Assign permissions for each entity (Reports, Dimensions, Lists, Models, Data, Metrics)
Click Save
