Access control & permissions

Drivetrain employs a robust role-based access control (RBAC) system to safeguard data security and integrity.

Admins create user accounts and assign each user specific roles.

Roles specify a user's access privileges, including which parts of the system they can view and the actions they can perform. Roles help ensure users have the appropriate access levels and maintains efficiency and security within your organization.

Roles are labels that outline a user's capabilities within Drivetrain. Each role is equipped with a set of permissions that define a user's access to various system components.

Roles are essential for:

• Granting specific access to financial models and reports: By assigning appropriate roles, admins can grant teams and departments the precise access to Drivetrain data and actions they need to fulfill their responsibilities

• Maintaining data security and integrity: By carefully managing user permissions, you can prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information.

Only users assigned an “Admin” role may access the Users and Roles pages. If you need access to these pages, you must request it from the Drivetrain administrator in your organization.
